EVENTS:
INTERNATIONAL DISTANCE TRIATHLON
Swim Course (1.5k): The swim will be a wave start taking place adjacent to transition area at beautiful Messina Landing. Swimmers will enter the water to test their skills around a triangular 1.5k swim course in the calm waters of Eagle Lake. As swimmers exit the water there will be a slight jog up the exit ramp to the timing pad and transition area.
Bike Course (40k): The Bike course will be a flat and fast out and back taking place a majority of the time on Hwy 465. Bikers will exit left out of T1 and proceed about 1,000 feet down Catfish Alley to Hwy 465. There they will take a right on 465 for a very flat and fast out and back bike. Bikers will return back via Hwy 465 taking a left on to Catfish Alley for about 1,000 ft finally making a right into the transition area.
Run Course (10k): The Run Course will be a flat out and back. With the majority of the time spent on scenic Eagle Lake Shore Road. Runners will exit out of the transition area and go straight, following the roped off path across the landing parking lot proceeding on to Shell Beach Road. Runners will turn right on to Eagle Lake Shore road towards famous Tara wildlife refuge, for a flat out and back run.
DUATHLON
Run Course (5k): The Run Course will be a flat out and back. With the majority of the time spent on scenic Eagle Lake Shore Road. Runners will exit out of the transition area and go straight, following the roped off path across the landing parking lot proceeding on to Shell Beach Road. Runners will turn right on to Eagle Lake Shore road towards famous Tara wildlife refuge, for a flat out and back run.

The race course will be triangular and each distance marked by large buoys.

COURSE

ELIGIBILITY:
All participants must be USAT registered athletes. Participants that are not current annual USAT members will be required to purchase a $10 one day license via online registration at imATHLETE. You will also be required to furnish a photo i.d. at athlete check in.
RACE PACKETS:
All athletes must pick up their own packet. Packet pickup will be available on Friday, August 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Courtyard by Mariott (1 Underwood Drive) or on race day from 5:45 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Must have valid identification to pick up pack. You CANNOT have someone else pick it up for you. All Relay team members must be present to pick up the relay team race packet.
RACE INFO:
The race starts on Saturday, August 24 at 7 a.m. After the race, please join us for food and fun at the historical Cotton Exchange.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Registration is available on imATHLETE. Entries must be received by Wednesday, August 21.
AWARDS:
Awards will be given to the Top 3 Over-All Finishers Male & Female, Top 3 Age Groupers in each age category, Top Male and Female Masters, Top Athena, Top Clydesdale and Top Collegiate Club Male and Female.

DIRECTIONS TO MESSINA BOAT LANDING:
From I-20 take Hwy 61N
After 10.4 miles, turn left at MS 465N
After 14 miles, turn left at Catfish Alley (the boat landing is just pass the parking lot)
