On Tuesday, January 25th at 5pm, VSA will hold an Intra-Squad Meet for White, Black and Bronze pods.  This will provide our new swimmers with the opportunity to experience a swim meet. The first component of a swim meet is reviewing the meet invitation and deciding which events to participate in.  Below is the link to the Intra-Squad Meet invitation.  Please review the invitation and email Coach the events your swimmer would like to participate in by January 21st.   All Silver and Gold pod swimmers are needed to help with the meet and are also asked to arrive at 5pm.  Silver and Gold pods will practice immediately following the meet.

It’s time once again for the annual Charlene Craddock swim meet in Cleveland, MS.  The finest facility this state has to offer our young swimmers.  Mark your calendar and book your hotel room now!  The meet invitation, which includes meet dates, schedule of events, warm up times, hotels in the area, etc. is posted below.  Please take time to look at the invite to help answer any questions you might have about this event.  Coach needs to know by January 19th if you would like to compete in this event.   If you would like to attend but are not sure what events to enter your swimmer in just respond “COACH PICK” to Coach via email.  Heat sheets will not be sold at the meet.  Heat sheets for the event will be posted on our website by Wednesday, January 26th and in the spectator seating at the meet.

VSA will be swimming in the Makos Fall Invitational at the Courthouse on Lakeland Drive in Jackson.  The swim meet is scheduled for October 8th – 10th.  We would like to encourage every swimmer to participate as this is just a short drive away.   This is a great opportunity to try to accomplish your state qualifying times.  Please review the invitation by clicking on the link.  If you would like to attend, please respond in writing to Coach Mixon and include the events you would like to swim in your response.  If you are unsure of the events, please respond “Coach Pick.”  You must submit your response by Tuesday, September 28th.

The Vicksburg Swim Association would like to invite you to attend the
Stamm Family Invitation in Memory of Alan Ebersole June 4th through 6th.  The meet offers a great opportunity for three days of competition and good times. Clickbelow to view the meet  invite and team event files for the Friday short course and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday long course meets.  Please send two TM entry files, one for short course and one for long course.  Coaches please notice that the 12 & U 400 free has been added to the Friday afternoon session. Remember if you have a younger swimmer that would like to swim the 400 in the afternoon session, you must save them a spot on the max entries per day.  The mile will now be swum as an open event and scored 14&Under and 15&Over. See you at the pool in Vicksburg!  COME BE A PART OF HISTORY, in the making!
