Open Water Swim
Vicksburg Swim Association is hosting the Gator Bait at Eagle Lake on Saturday, August 28, 2010. The Open Water Swim is held under the sanction of USA Swimming, USMS and Vicksburg Swim Association. Swimmers must be a member of USA Swimming or US Masters Swimming; however, one event passes are available for Masters via active.com registration for $12.
Come out and enjoy the fun at Eagle Lake’s Messina Boat Landing. Events include a Open 1 Mile, Masters 1 Mile, Open 1/2 Mile, Open 1/4 Mile, Masters 1/4 Mile, and 12 and under 1/4 Mile. Kayaks, the local Search and Rescue, and the local fire department will be available to ensure safety.
Directions to the Messina Boat Landing are:
From I-20 take Hwy 61N
After 10.4 miles, turn left at MS 465N
After 14 miles, turn left at Catfish Alley (the boat landing is just pass the parking lot)
